This has been a period of transformation and renewed purpose for our organization. With our official rebranding to VIVA PIMA!, we’ve embraced a new identity rooted in vitality, inclusivity, and commitment to the people of Pima County.

As we reflect on our recent work, we’re proud to share the impact of our programs, community partnerships, and the dedication of our volunteers and supporters.

A New Name and a Continued Commitment

How Our Programs Help Children and Families

New School Clothing for More Than 5,700 Students

For some local children, the first day of school arrives without new clothing to wear. Our Kids program provided brand-new school clothes to more than 5,700 students from Title I schools during the reporting period.

Having clothing that fits and feels comfortable helps children prepare for school with confidence.

Household Essentials for More Than 3,100 Families

Moving from a shelter or the street into a home is an important step, but families may arrive with few household belongings.

Our Supplies program provided more than 3,100 families with basic essentials for their kitchens, bedrooms, and bathrooms, helping them establish their homes and begin again.

More Than 7,200 Books for Local Schools and Agencies

Our Books program supplied more than 7,200 books to local schools and community agencies. These resources encourage reading, curiosity, and opportunities to learn.

Comfort and Dignity During Difficult Moments

Our Bears program provides teddy bears to comfort children in distress.

Our Support program provides new clothing and toiletry essentials to assault survivors following forensic examinations, offering practical care during a vulnerable time.

The People Behind the Numbers

Every number represents a person whose life has been touched by community support.

For 7-year-old Mia, that meant walking into school with her first brand-new backpack and shoes. For Carlos, who benefited from our Teens program and went on to study engineering at the University of Arizona, it meant having people who believed in his future.

“VIVA PIMA! believed in me before I believed in myself,” Carlos shared.

Stories like theirs remind us why this work matters and how much we can accomplish together.

Looking Ahead to 2025–2026

As we entered the 2025–2026 year, we began exploring new ways to collaborate with the schools and agencies we serve while building our volunteer base to meet growing community demand.

Our commitment remains clear: to respond with empathy, act with integrity, and listen to the needs of our Pima County neighbors.
