Dear Friends,

We are excited to share an important milestone in our organization’s journey! After more than six decades of serving our community as the Assistance League of Tucson, we are now VIVA PIMA!

Why the change? Our new name better reflects who we are today and where we are headed. Viva means “long live” and celebrates our vibrant, diverse, and caring community. Pima honors the county we call home. Together, VIVA PIMA! speaks to our commitment to uplifting lives, creating connections, and strengthening the future of Tucson and beyond.

We are also thrilled to introduce Nicola Hartmann as our new Executive Director. Nicola brings more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience, having served as CEO of Sister José Women’s Center and Youth On Their Own. She has called Tucson home for over 40 years and shares our passion for making a lasting impact.

With our new name, experienced leadership, and the unwavering dedication of our volunteers and supporters, we look forward to an even brighter future. Our mission remains the same: to meet needs, inspire hope, and transform lives in our community.
